Folding Camping Chair with Cup Holder, 120 kg Metal Frame

Folding chairs on an Egyptian beach are often borrowed from the cafe next to it, and the ones people bring fold up under anyone heavier than the person who bought them.

What Are the Key Features of This Folding Camping Chair Rated to 120 kg?

• Rated to 120 kg: the difference between a chair you sit in yourself and one you can hand to any guest at the beach without thinking about it.
• 16 mm steel tube under epoxy paint: a corrosion-resistant coating is what keeps a folding joint folding after a couple of seasons of salt air on the North Coast.
• 2 mm Oxford fabric, double stitched, 13 mm piping: the seam is where these chairs fail, and a wide piped edge spreads the load instead of hanging it on one line of thread.
• Mesh cup holder and a carry strap built in: your tea stays out of the sand while you are sitting, and the chair goes over your shoulder when you are not.
• Anti-sink feet on soft ground: a plain tube leg digs into sand on one side and tips you backwards; broader feet are why this works on a beach as well as on a lawn.

Where Can You Use This Folding Camping Chair?

• On soft sand at the North Coast or Ain Sokhna, where the anti-sink feet stop a leg digging in
• Handed to a guest without watching them sit down: it is rated to 120 kg
• On a lawn or in a garden
• Carried over a shoulder on the built-in strap, then folded into a car boot

Why Is a 16 mm Steel Tube Frame Better Than a Bent Aluminium Rod?

• 16 mm reinforced steel tube: it is what earns the 120 kg rating.
• Epoxy paint against salt air: on the North Coast or at Ain Sokhna, rust at the joints is what seizes a folding mechanism.
• 13 mm piping on a stitched seam: the 2 mm double-stitched Oxford fails at the seam, and a wide piped edge spreads that pull.
• Polyester instead of cotton canvas: cotton folded damp into a car boot and forgotten for a fortnight comes out smelling of mildew.

Material & Build

• Load capacity: 120 kg.
• Fabric: polyester Oxford, 2 mm, double-stitched, with 13 mm piping. The piping is at the seam, which is where the load actually sits.
• Fittings: padded armrests, a mesh cup holder in the armrest, a built-in carry strap, anti-sink feet and polyethylene connectors.

Dimensions

• Open size: 45 x 45 x 87 cm. Read the three as the overall envelope. The largest of them, 87 cm, is the figure that has to clear whatever you are putting the chair into or under.
• Folded size: the measurement that decides whether two of these fit in a boot alongside a cool box. Measure one folded before you buy several.

Colours

• Red, Blue, Green and Olive Green.
