Painter’s Floor

This was inspired by a recent kitchen repainting project, in which I had the good sense (and somewhat surprising foresight) to cover my beautiful 113-year-old oak floors with heavy kraft paper before I even cracked open the paint can. When I was done, the kraft paper itself had taken on a subtle patina that was beautiful in its own right.

This is a celebration of the fact that beauty exists everywhere — muddy puddles, rusting rail cars, and painting drop cloths. (Just ask Jackson Pollock!)
