Laguiole Le Pocket Classic Burled Beech End Grain

The Laguiole Le Pocket by Gilles® Fontenille Pataud is engineered for those who seek a compact, discreet folder that retains the robust strength of a full-sized knife. This model features a precise lock-back mechanism for secure blade locking during use and specialized Teflon washers to ensure smooth, safe opening and closing.

Handcrafted in Thiers—the historic heart of French cutlery—each knife is meticulously created from start to finish by a single master artisan. This ensures unparalleled quality and a unique sense of pride in ownership. Proudly 100% Made in France.

Handle Character: This model features scales of Burled Beech End Grain. By utilizing the end grain of the burl, the handle reveals a mesmerizing mosaic of tight "eyes" and complex cellular structures. This orientation not only provides a highly stable handle but also a visual texture that is rare in traditional cutlery. The knife pictured is the exact one you will receive.

The Forged Bee: A hallmark of elite craftsmanship, the "Bee" and spring are forged from a single solid piece of stainless steel. This method provides superior structural integrity and a seamless aesthetic compared to common soldered alternatives. Additionally, a solid, hardened blade stop is built into the mechanism to preserve the edge's sharpness by preventing contact with the inner spring.
